From the People Who Built It: Our Favourite Features
To celebrate the occasion of opening up Comper to the public, we've asked each team member to tell us about their favourite feature. Full disclosure: We're a bit biased.
And just in case you missed it: You can now try out Comper for free with our 21 days full trial. Head to comper.io to create your account and get insights on your code in minutes.

Jouke, Co-Founder & CEO. I started building Comper to make complex software systems way easier to understand, and that’s what I’m still doing now. I love software because it’s one of the only things in the world where the main limitation is your imagination.
The canvas as a new way of managing software landscapes, and seeing agents work on top of it. It helps me get a feeling of what is actually happening in a software organization, it allows me to see the big picture but also zoom into the details if I want to know more. Also playing GeoGuessr for Code on it is just so much fun, I love seeing the reaction of engineers when they try to find their favorite bits of code.

Fun fact Beat Jouke at chess
I’m Juan, Co-Founder & COO. During my career as a non-technical COO of multiple startups I’ve experienced that more and more business decisions depend on the technical reality of the startup, however now, more than ever, it’s getting more difficult to understand your own technical reality. That is the reason why I feel strongly about what we’re trying to solve.
I use the Slack integration the most, and it’s something I wish I’d had before. Whenever I need more software context before making a business decision, or need more context to brainstorm/validate some thoughts/ideas, I can get that information in plain language via the Comper Agent on Slack without bothering the Engineering team. And to be very honest… I can ask the ‘dumb’ questions I’d sometimes be hesitant to ask.

Hey up, i’m Adam, the CPTO at Comper, I’ve been here since June 2026 and I was also a user of Comper a year ago.
Out of all our features, our Slack and MS Teams integrations are easily my favorite. I’m a huge believer in building tools that fit seamlessly into where people already work. Seeing everyone, from CEOs to agents, ask real-time questions about their codebase and product, like ‘Has this been released?’, or ‘How does this work’ or ‘Who should I talk to about this?’, is incredible. Instead of waiting on meetings or getting lost in email threads, every team member gets the clarity they need instantly so they can keep momentum.
Fun fact Doesn't like quinoa, likes glitter
I’m Valerie, Senior Software Engineer and I joined Comper 6 months ago. I mainly work on building out the visual side of the product as well as fine-tuning our dashboards.
The feature I use most often is automated code reviews, as they help me to spot and fix issues right away. But I also have a soft spot for our automated architecture visualisation, which would have helped me many times when I found myself in a new job and tried to find information about the bigger system landscape. Next to it looking playful and informative, it was also a very nice project to work on as it allowed me to research a bit of early days game visualisation techniques.

Fun fact Bakes cruffins on the weekend
I’m Amédée, Founding Engineer at Comper. I develop the Comper platform and analysis tools as well as the AI data infrastructure.
It’s a small one but my favorite feature is the auto-sorting of files into different categories like code vs config vs tests. It makes it so much easier to look at code changes and to look at the contents of the repo organized by code vs tests. It makes it a lot easier to orient myself in a new repo to know what’s what.

Fun fact Plays improvised theatre
I’m Doug, the Product Designer at Comper since March.
As a visual person, my favourite features fall into the data visualisation category. I really enjoy seeing the trends and exploring what each dip or peak represents (and it’s not always what you expect!). I’m interested in making the data as comprehensible as possible, so when we can distil something complex into something clear, I feel that’s a win! We’re currently investigating some new and exciting data-vis directions, so stay tuned!
